Dr. McQuade’s research interests include reproductive politics, gender and race in U.S. public health, feminist interdisciplinary methodologies, U.S./Mexico border studies, and feminist, critical race, and queer theory. She has published on the history of parteras (midwives) in New Mexico, health along the U.S./Mexico border, and about the history of Jewish feminism and the bat mitzvah.
