National Women's Studies Association
Established in 1977, the National Women's Studies Association has as one of its primary objectives promoting and supporting the production and dissemination of knowledge about women and gender through teaching, learning, research and service in academic and other settings.
North Bay Womxn of Color Conference
The annual North Bay Womxn of Color Conference is organized and facilitated by a coalition of students from Mujeres Activas en Letras y Cambio Social (MALCS) de SSU and the Chicano and Latino Studies Department. Free for all to attend.

Queer Student Alliance
The Queer Student Alliance is a safe place for queer students to find support from each other at the university. As a club, we promote acceptance throughout Sonoma State via events focused around the LGBTQ+ community.
SSU Black Student Union
BSU is a club at Sonoma State University and was founded on campus in 1987. The BSU is a student club that provides a community and supports black students with their experience on Sonoma State’s campus. The club also plans events and activities surrounding the culture.
SSU McNair Scholars
The McNair Scholars Program at SSU helps 27 undergraduate students per year prepare for and get accepted into graduate school. The primary objective of this program is to place more historically underrepresented students in Masters and PhD programs.
SSU Scholarships
The University Scholarship Program is designed to provide encouragement and public recognition to students who have demonstrated academic excellence.
